Job Requirements
- Must have hotel engineering management experience
- Must have skills in technical and mechanical engineering functions
- Experience in pool operations and maintenance
- Ability to travel for 3 months at a time
- Must have at least 3 years experience as Chief Engineer in a full-service hotel
- Willingness to work on a task force rotation
- Ability to obtain necessary licenses and permits
- Physical capability to oversee and inspect all aspects of the facility
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years as Chief Engineer in a full-service hotel
- Strong technical and mechanical engineering skills
- Demonstrated experience in hotel engineering management
- Experience in pool operations and maintenance
- Proven ability to manage capital projects and property rehabilitations
- Knowledge of federal, state and local building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Direct and oversee the functionality and safety of the facility including physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds
- Conduct facility inspections
- Assign, verify and document completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program for guest rooms, meeting space, public area, and equipment
- Direct, oversee and maintain required documentation for energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs
- Lead, manage and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitations including scheduling, budgeting and complying with contractor bidding standards
- Obtain required licenses and permits to ensure full compliance with codes, regulations and safety standards
