We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Hotel Chef to join the team at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. As an integral part of the culinary operations, the Hotel Chef will report directly to the Hotel Chef de Cuisine and adopt a hands-on approach in managing team development, delivering culinary excellence, and upholding safety protocols. This position plays a pivotal role not only in maintaining the highest quality food standards and customer service but also in overseeing budgetary compliance and the implementation of company programs. This role offers a unique blend of leadership and creativity, focusing on fostering a productive kitchen environment that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

The Hotel Chef’s responsibilities extend to training kitchen personnel, supervising culinary activities, estimating food consumption, and managing procurement. The ideal candidate will excel in developing and standardizing recipes, ensuring consistency and quality, and setting presentation standards that enhance guest experience. Attention to equipment maintenance, strict adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, and overseeing special catering events are key components of the role. Additionally, the Hotel Chef may provide culinary instruction and demonstrate advanced techniques to support skill development within the team.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $55,000, reflecting Aramark’s commitment to fair compensation based on experience and qualifications. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • Oral, reading and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a schedule which will include evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques
