As part of the prestigious Curio Collection by Hilton, it upholds a commitment to quality, originality, and distinctive experiences that genuinely resonate with guests. The hotel offers an inspiring atmosphere where innovation meets tradition, providing an exceptional setting for both its guests and employees. Housed in this landmark hotel, the Cook II position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values creativity, skill, and dedication.

As a Cook II at Hotel Champlain Burlington, you will be integral to delivering an unforgettable culinary experience. This role demands a culinary expert who takes immense pride in preparing and supervising dishes that not only meet but exceed the high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control. Your leadership skills will be crucial in guiding kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and teamwork among the kitchen staff. This role is ideal for individuals who not only thrive in high-pressure settings but also possess a proactive attitude to anticipate and solve challenges before they arise. You will be the backbone ensuring a clean, well-organized kitchen that complies with all sanitation and safety protocols. Your ability to communicate clearly with both coworkers and guests will reinforce a harmonious work environment and elevate overall service quality.

This position requires substantial experience with at least five years of progressive culinary involvement or equivalent experience highlighted by a culinary degree with practical exposure in a hotel setting. Additionally, your certification as a Food Handler compliant with state regulations is mandatory to ensure our commitment to food safety. The role involves multitasking under pressure, managing time efficiently to guarantee prompt service, and taking the initiative to keep kitchen operations seamless and productive.

This full-time role not only promises a stimulating and fulfilling career in the culinary field but also includes a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period. Highlights of the benefits include daily pay options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income protection plans, term life and AD and D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan.
