Job Description
Hotel Champlain Burlington, Curio Collection by Hilton, is a distinguished hospitality establishment that offers guests an exceptional blend of natural beauty and urban excitement. Nestled where the pristine Lake Champlain meets the vibrant energy of downtown Burlington, this hotel serves as a perfect retreat for travelers looking to explore Vermont while enjoying first-class accommodations and services. The hotel is a symbol of elegance and comfort, standing as a new neighborhood landmark dedicated to raising the bar on guest experiences through genuine and unexpected hospitality. It is a place where creativity and vision come to life, making it an inspiring workplace for those passionate about the hospitality industry.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Barista to join our team at Hotel Champlain Burlington. This full-time position begins with shifts starting at 6 am and is a tip-based role that requires weekend and holiday availability. As a Barista, you will be the vital energy behind our café service, responsible for crafting exceptional beverages and creating memorable experiences that brighten each guest's day. The role is not just about making coffee but about fostering connections, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the overall success of our food and beverage offerings. You will bring precision, artistry, and warmth to every interaction while maintaining high standards of operational excellence and efficiency.
The Barista position demands a blend of technical skill and customer-centric attitude. Candidates will be expected to follow standard operating procedures meticulously to deliver consistent, high-quality coffee beverages, while also managing cash transactions accurately and contributing to revenue growth through exceptional service. Organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial, as you will be responsible for pre- and post-shift duties such as stocking service stations and ensuring seamless shift transitions. Representing the hotel with professionalism and enthusiasm in every customer interaction is essential to uphold the brand's reputation.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where every day offers new challenges and opportunities to connect with guests and contribute to their positive experiences. Those hired will eventually be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD and D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. The hotel also offers a unique perk of daily pay after the initial waiting period, making this position not only rewarding in terms of experience but also financially beneficial.
Ideal candidates will have at least six months of experience in food and beverage customer service, including cash handling, with previous barista experience considered a major plus. Equally important is a naturally friendly and customer-oriented disposition, plus a genuine enthusiasm for making a positive impact on every guest's visit. If you are passionate about coffee, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a team that values excellence and creativity, this role at Hotel Champlain Burlington could be the perfect fit for you.
