The Residence Inn by Marriott Ankeny is currently seeking a part-time Breakfast Attendant with additional responsibilities in maintaining the cleanliness of public areas. This role is integral to the hotel's operations, offering a unique opportunity to be one of the first points of contact for guests as they start their day. The position entails working breakfast hours from Wednesday through Saturday, 5:30 am to 11:30 am, along with public area maintenance hours typically on Mondays from 8 am to 4 pm. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for creating a positive and energetic atmosphere by greeting guests warmly and ensuring a satisfying breakfast experience. Duties include setting up the breakfast area, replenishing food and beverage items, cleaning and sanitizing equipment such as waffle irons and microwaves, and properly storing food products after service. In addition to breakfast service, the public areas maintenance duties involve cleaning and maintaining restrooms, the pool, fitness center, guest laundry, and the main lobby, thereby upholding the hotel's standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

This role requires someone who enjoys early mornings, has excellent interpersonal skills, and is attentive to detail in maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The successful candidate will be proactive in identifying inventory shortages, maintenance concerns, and guest feedback, ensuring timely communication with management to address any issues swiftly.
