Towne Park is currently seeking a Bell Attendant to join their team at prominent hotel locations including JW Marriott, Westin Indianapolis, and Marriott Indianapolis. This role is an hourly position accompanied by tips, offering a competitive wage range of $9 to $10 per hour plus an additional $5 to $10 per hour in tips, making the compensation attractive for individuals passionate about hospitality. The Bell Attendant plays a crucial role in enhancing guests' experiences by offering attentive, friendly, and efficient service throughout their stay. Responsibilities include assisting guests with their luggage during arrival and departure, providing information about the hotel and local attractions, and facilitating guest requests with professionalism and care. The role demands a high level of customer service skill, including greeting guests courteously, using their names when interacting, and maintaining a professional demeanor. Bell Attendants are expected to have a thorough knowledge of the hotel rooms, meeting facilities, and amenities to better assist guests. They also ensure the cleanliness and order of guest service areas and are responsible for safely transporting guests and their luggage.

This position requires completion of the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park, reflecting the company’s commitment to safety and inclusivity. The ideal candidates are those with a high school diploma or equivalent, some related experience or training in hospitality or customer service, and excellent communication skills. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Completion of the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers
  • Physical capability to assist with luggage handling
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work AM/PM shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10s and 100s
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names and appropriate salutations
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Conduct thorough room presentations for guests
  • Assist guests with room changes
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of hotel rooms, meeting facilities, and public areas
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
  • Provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions
  • Assist guests with transportation using approved services
  • Tag and store individual bags for bell storage
  • Ensure safe transport of guests and luggage
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of guest services areas
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Complete all tasks timely as instructed by the Account Manager
