This exciting part-time opportunity is within the Food and Beverage Department at The Guest House at Graceland Hotel. The role features flexible and variable working hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. This position is particularly suited for candidates who are passionate about hospitality and eager to be part of a renowned heritage site while honing their skills in a dynamic, guest-facing environment that involves preparing and serving food and beverages. As a Food and Beverage team member at Graceland, you will be working under the supervision of Food and Beverage Supervisors and the Manager. You will operate Point of Sale (POS) systems to process transactions efficiently, assist guests with their orders and inquiries, and prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including mixing cocktails and developing new cocktail recipes. You will also be responsible for verifying the legal drinking age of patrons, handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of your assigned work area throughout your shift.

Your role extends to greeting guests from around the globe with genuine hospitality, addressing their questions and concerns promptly, and escalating any significant issues to management. You will support overall restaurant operations by restocking and replenishing bar inventories, ensuring adherence to health and sanitation standards according to Memphis and Shelby County codes, and performing necessary cleaning tasks such as bussing tables, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash, and cleaning restrooms. Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is a critical element of this position.

The ideal candidate will have a positive, engaging personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while multitasking and maintaining high standards of service. This role requires knowledge of Memphis and Shelby County health codes, possession of a valid ABC license from the State of Tennessee, and previous bartending experience is preferred.
