  • Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute changes in scheduling
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Displays working knowledge of cash register to ring up bills
  • Ability to accurately handle cash, credit cards and checks
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers

Job Duties

  • Meet and exceed customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork
  • Provide prompt, courteous service by bussing, serving, and setting tables
  • Accurately record, pre-check, and pick up all food and beverage orders
  • Serve customers their food and beverage orders in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Set tables as needed prior to customer arrival
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by attending to restaurant customer needs
  • Acquire a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to customer questions
  • Inform host/hostess or manager of any customer dissatisfaction
  • Ensure that breakfast area/restaurant is in proper condition for arrival of customers
  • Verify workstations are stocked, neat and orderly
  • Check the overall condition of the dining room ensuring readiness for customers
  • Stock breakfast bar items and assist cook as needed in set up of hot dishes
  • Process customer restaurant bills promptly and accurately
  • Send all room charges immediately to Front Desk for posting
  • Inquire into the level of satisfaction experienced by the customer and attempt to rectify complaints or refer them to the manager
  • Issue customer bills in accordance with hotel policies
