This position is at a reputable hotel restaurant dedicated to delivering high-quality food and beverage services to guests. The role is that of a restaurant server, responsible for providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service. Responsibilities include greeting customers, setting tables, accurately recording orders, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages. Servers are expected to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area, including stocking breakfast bar items and assisting kitchen staff as needed. The role also involves handling customer payment accurately and addressing any customer dissatisfaction by communicating with management. This role demands flexibility with work hours and the ability to stand and move for extended periods. Fluency in English is necessary, along with mathematical skills to manage billing transactions. Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of restaurant serving experience required
- Must be flexible in work hours to accommodate last minute changes in scheduling
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Displays working knowledge of cash register to ring up bills
- Ability to accurately handle cash, credit cards and checks
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers

Job Duties
- Meets and exceeds customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork
- Provides prompt, courteous service by bussing, serving, and setting tables
- Accurately records, pre-checks, and picks up all food and beverage orders
- Serves customers their food and beverage orders in prompt and courteous manner
- Sets tables as needed prior to customer arrival
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by attending to restaurant customer needs
- Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to customer questions
- Informs host/hostess or manager of any customer dissatisfaction
- Ensures that breakfast area/restaurant is in proper condition for arrival of customers
- Verifies workstations are stocked, neat and orderly
- Checks the overall condition of the dining room, ensuring its readiness for customers
- Stocks breakfast bar items such as cereal, breads, muffins, and other cold items
- Assists cook as needed in set up of hot dishes
- Processes customer restaurant bills promptly and accurately
- Sends all room charges immediately to Front Desk for posting
- Inquires into the level of satisfaction experienced by the customer
- attempts to rectify any complaints and/or refers them to the manager
- Issues customer bills in accordance with hotel’s policies
