Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, coworkers and management to their understanding
- Ability to count
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Ability to work cohesively with coworkers as part of a team
- Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish
- Familiar with proper sanitation regulation
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
- Bright and organized, detail oriented, confident and efficient person with great people skills and a can-do attitude
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, climbing, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest vacates a room
- Dusting and polishing furniture and woodwork regularly
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors as needed
- Organizing and restocking guest convenience items in rooms
- Changing linens and towels and ensuring beds are properly made
- Removing waste from wastebaskets, ashtrays, and work areas following safety and recycling guidelines
- Maintaining cleanliness of dining utensils using industrial dishwasher and hand polishing
- Cleaning kitchen and storage areas, including appliances and surfaces
- Assisting with food storage, rotation, and preparation such as preparing salads and garnishing dishes
