We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Executive Housekeeper for one of our properties, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17. This role is essential in assisting the Executive Housekeeper by supervising housekeeping personnel and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest areas and facilities. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a crucial role in coordinating daily housekeeping activities, managing room inspections, and maintaining communication with the front desk to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service.

In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies, as well as completing laundry tasks as needed. You will assign work to housekeeping staff in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and assist with training and developing personnel to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your duties will also include monitoring inventory, inspecting furniture and fixtures for wear or damage, and planning necessary maintenance or renovation tasks. Additionally, you will aid in managing lost and found items and ensure proper storage and security of housekeeping keys.

The position requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with the front desk and guests, addressing any concerns promptly to maintain guest satisfaction. Physical endurance and the ability to handle various cleaning tools and materials safely and efficiently are also important aspects of this job. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow KHC policies and procedures
  • Must maintain a professional image and reliable attendance
  • Ability to use hands for handling and grasping tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and train housekeeping staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Ability to use front desk systems for room inventory updates
  • Basic organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to handle physical demands of cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Cleans hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobbies and laundry as needed or assigned
  • Assigns work to housekeeping personnel when the Executive Housekeeper is absent
  • Assists in training and developing personnel in housekeeping duties, safety and KHC policies and procedures
  • Communicates regularly with Front Desk on status of room inventory and updates front desk system as necessary or allowed
  • Ensures guest satisfaction through quick attention to questions, concerns or problems
  • Communicates needs for room supplies, furniture, room renovation or replacements, room maintenance
  • Examines carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear, and assists in planning carpet shampooing, turning of mattresses and seasonal extensive cleaning
  • Checks and counts hotel linens and supplies
  • Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies
  • Assists Executive Housekeeper in the proper storage and security of all housekeeping room keys
  • Assists with guest lost and found items
