Job Requirements
- minimum of 3 years direct hotel sales experience
- college degree or equivalent sales experience
- proficient in Word and Excel
- ability to communicate effectively via email
- valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
- ability to meet physical demands including touring properties and attending functions
- fluency in English language
- strong interpersonal skills
- willingness to participate in community and client events
Job Qualifications
- direct hotel sales experience of at least 3 years
- experience with Marriott brand preferred
- knowledge of FOSSE and PEP reservation systems preferred
- college degree or equivalent sales experience
- knowledge of general sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service
- proficiency with Word and Excel
- ability to communicate electronically via email
- problem-solving and sound business decision skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work as a team player with all hotel staff
- excellent guest relations skills
- ability to influence customers to close deals
- excellent judgment
- high ethical standards
Job Duties
- achieve productivity goal and activity goal by targeting accounts with appointment-oriented sales calls
- maximize current hotel’s key accounts by establishing and maintaining close contact with key accounts
- capture and shift business from market hotels through research, networking, and telemarketing
- maintain accurate, organized, and current file management systems for efficient client service
- participate in associate functions, client and guest events, and community events
- assist with developing and maintaining the business plan with General Manager, Marketing Manager and Corporate Director of Sales
- qualify all leads and prospects from tele-prospecting, cold calls, sales blitzes and other lead sources
