The Banquet Bartender role at Hotel 1928 is a vital position within the banquet and events team, designed to support and enhance the beverage service during various functions and social gatherings. This role involves much more than just mixing drinks – the Banquet Bartender must ensure the bar area is meticulously prepared prior to events, which includes collecting necessary equipment and beverages, polishing all glassware, and preparing bar condiments. A key responsibility is maintaining high standards of service by reading and understanding banquet event orders (BEOs) to anticipate event needs and preferences accurately.
The individual filling this role must ensure that all guests comply with legal age requirements for alcohol consumption and must prepare drink orders tailored to guest preferences and bar standards. Interaction with guests requires attentiveness and engagement to ensure their satisfaction, while actively monitoring for signs of overconsumption of alcohol to promote a safe and comfortable environment. Post-event duties also include the proper breakdown and storage of bar inventory and equipment, as well as diligent communication with management around any guest complaints or challenges encountered.

Job Duties
- Reads and understands all particulars of BEOs
- Collect all necessary equipment, beverages, etc. to set up designated area
- Polish all glassware and prepare needed bar condiments
- Ensures guests are of legal age to consume alcohol
- Prepares drink orders according to bar standards and guest preferences
- Ensures guests are engaged and satisfied
- Monitors guests for overconsumption of alcohol and takes steps as necessary
- After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage
- Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage
- Communicate any challenges or guest complaints
- Other duties as assigned by management
