In this role, cooks will have to follow production guidelines and safety procedures closely, reinforcing the company's commitment to health and safety. Cooks prepare a variety of foods by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling ingredients and using a range of cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, and more. The role also entails organizing food items according to established guidelines, ensuring proper food storage that adheres to safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness by sanitizing work areas, equipment, utensils, and the kitchen environment.
Beyond technical skills, the role requires maintaining excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, clients, co-workers, and customers. The Cook must adhere to Aramark’s established safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation practices, as well as ensuring the security of company assets. This position offers an hourly wage of $17.50, reflecting Aramark’s commitment to fair compensation. Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to lift, bend, push, pull and/or extended walking and standing
- willingness to wear uniforms and/or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- availability to work every Saturday and Sunday

- Experience as a cook or in a related role required

Job Duties
- Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
