Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of fast food or kitchen food production experience
- Knowledge of food preparation and food safety practices
- Ability to follow production plans and recipes
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Punctual and reliable attendance
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
- Six months of fast food or kitchen food production experience
Job Duties
- Prepares hot food items for patient and non-patient food services
- Assists in tray assembly and preparation of special diet meals
- Knows food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparation and holding of food items
- Demonstrates knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures
- Communicates proper information to the Executive Chef, supervisors, and peers
- Helps in other kitchen areas such as cold prep, bakery, storeroom, café serving line, dish room or tray line
- Maintains attendance as per Orlando Health policies
