Job Requirements
- Standing for extended periods is commonly required
- Good manual dexterity for the use of processing equipment such as cutter or labeling
- Ability to lift 30 lbs or more with appropriate equipment
- Good customer service skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to visually identify product quality and freshness
Job Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, culinary, deli, restaurant, kitchen management, cooking or customer service experience is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Working knowledge of types of ingredients, vegetables, meats carried in the department
Job Duties
- Responsible for the overall production of all dimsum, buns, noodle and cold-deli items in the department
- Manage, schedule, and produce dim-sum, buns, noodles, and cold-deli items timely to meet customer demands
- Monitor inventory level of all raw materials and ingredients used in the production of all dimsum, buns, noodles and cold-deli items
- Ensure the quality of food products and required production procedures are strictly followed
- Prepare all cooking ingredients needed and follow the food safety handling process
- Responsible for making sure all equipment used in the production of all the above foods are in good working order and that breakdowns are reported as soon as possible to the department manager for repairs by appropriate vendors
- Responsible for monitoring temperatures of all the above food during preparation and display to comply with government health food safety codes
- Responsible for the timely and efficient preparation and service of all customer orders including phone orders
