Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for 3-4+ hours without rest breaks
  • Capability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to bend and reach as required
  • Willingness to work in varied temperature settings
  • Compliance with company uniform standards and policies

Job Qualifications

  • Prior cooking experience in a restaurant or buffet setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use kitchen tools such as tongs and spatulas effectively
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepares Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking products, according to Golden Corral recipes and procedures
  • Grills all items according to Golden Corral standards to ensure quality
  • Ensures that every fried product is always fresh and hot
  • If the Buffet Attendant is unavailable, the Cook restocks the items at the Display Cooking Station
  • If the Carver is unavailable, assists guests with carved meat options
  • Completes use and follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance
  • Maintains the correct temperature of all products during cooking, holding and serving
