Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for 3-4+ hours without rest breaks
- Capability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs regularly
- Ability to bend and reach as required
- Willingness to work in varied temperature settings
- Compliance with company uniform standards and policies
Job Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience in a restaurant or buffet setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use kitchen tools such as tongs and spatulas effectively
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking products, according to Golden Corral recipes and procedures
- Grills all items according to Golden Corral standards to ensure quality
- Ensures that every fried product is always fresh and hot
- If the Buffet Attendant is unavailable, the Cook restocks the items at the Display Cooking Station
- If the Carver is unavailable, assists guests with carved meat options
- Completes use and follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance
- Maintains the correct temperature of all products during cooking, holding and serving
