Out West Restaurant Group prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service by treating each guest like a valued visitor in their own home. The organization has been recognized for excellence with awards such as the International Franchise Association’s Franchisee of the Year Award in 2022 and multiple Monitor 200 rankings as a top franchisee in the United States. They are also committed to community service and support nonprofit organizations like California Care and CORE, which assist restaurant employees and their families during difficult times.
The Host/Server Assistant position at Out West Restaurant Group offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to enter or advance in the hospitality industry. This entry-level role is compensated at $15.16 per hour and is tip-eligible, following Colorado's tip credit laws. The position is designed for those who enjoy engaging with guests and contributing to a positive dining experience. As a Host/Server Assistant, you will be the first and last point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly, seating them in the dining and bar areas, and ensuring a smooth transition to the service staff. You will also support teamwork by helping in various areas of the restaurant based on business needs, embodying the cooperative spirit that defines the Outback culture.
Beyond daily duties, the role encourages team members to develop a general knowledge of the food and drink menus, enabling them to recommend and upsell products to enhance the guest experience. Additionally, the role includes managing phone calls professionally and directing inquiries appropriately. This position requires physical stamina and flexibility, including the ability to walk and stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work comfortably in both hot and cold environments. As an employer, Out West Restaurant Group values inclusivity and offers reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during both the application process and employment.

Employees earn up to 48 hours of paid sick leave annually under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, with additional public health emergency leave when applicable. The company also supports work-life balance by closing on Thanksgiving and Christmas, allowing employees to spend time with family and friends. Employees enjoy a hospitable culture that values effort, leadership, and growth, with opportunities for advancement through programs like Shift Leader training.
