The role offered is that of a Restaurant Cashier, a pivotal position responsible for ensuring an efficient and courteous operation within the hotels restaurant. This full-time, regular position demands a professional who is adept in customer service and proficient in handling cash transactions accurately and securely. Working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment, the Restaurant Cashier is the first point of contact for arriving customers and plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth flow of restaurant operations. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, seating them, processing payments, and supporting servers and management in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The position requires working nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the hotel and its clientele, with a fixed hourly wage of $19.00. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 months experience in cash handling and customer service roles
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English communication both verbal and written
- Ability to handle physical demands such as standing for entire shifts and lifting up to 10 pounds
- Capacity to manage stressful customer service situations with tact
- Ability to use computerized cash register systems
- Willingness to perform cleaning and maintenance duties during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with at least 3 months of cash handling and customer service
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations and food service principles
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Mathematical aptitude at a high school graduate level
Job Duties
- Meet arriving customers with cordial greeting
- Escort customers to assigned tables and issue menus
- Assign sections and notify servers of new seats
- Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant and assist servers
- Process payment transactions accurately
- Verify guest checks for accuracy and completeness
- Solicit customer feedback and report to management
