Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
- able to work in hot and cold environments
- ability to walk and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per shift
- frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
- manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology
- ability to move quickly in fast-paced environment
- visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral vision
- ability to adjust focus as needed
- ability to work in low or dim lighting
- ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Responsible Beverage Service certification required within 60 days for California positions
- compliance with E-Verify process
- adherence to California wage and hour laws including pay equality
- flexible scheduling to support excellent guest service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- customer service experience preferred
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- ability to operate technology systems related to order taking and payment processing
- willingness to learn and participate in training programs
- certified or willing to obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification if in California
- ability to multitask and work in fast-paced settings
Job Duties
- Make memorable first and last impressions with a smile
- greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
- seat guests in dining and bar areas ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
- coordinate wait and seating with a sense of urgency
- engage in genuine conversations with guests
- support all restaurant areas as business needs arise
- maintain food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
- buss tables, deliver food and support dining room
- have general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell
- answer phone calls promptly and professionally
- lead lobby experience following hospitality standards
- assist guests and support servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, maintaining clean and welcoming environment
