Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
  • able to work in hot and cold environments
  • ability to walk and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per shift
  • frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
  • manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology
  • ability to move quickly in fast-paced environment
  • visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral vision
  • ability to adjust focus as needed
  • ability to work in low or dim lighting
  • ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification required within 60 days for California positions
  • compliance with E-Verify process
  • adherence to California wage and hour laws including pay equality
  • flexible scheduling to support excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • customer service experience preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to operate technology systems related to order taking and payment processing
  • willingness to learn and participate in training programs
  • certified or willing to obtain Responsible Beverage Service certification if in California
  • ability to multitask and work in fast-paced settings

Job Duties

  • Make memorable first and last impressions with a smile
  • greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
  • seat guests in dining and bar areas ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
  • coordinate wait and seating with a sense of urgency
  • engage in genuine conversations with guests
  • support all restaurant areas as business needs arise
  • maintain food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards
  • buss tables, deliver food and support dining room
  • have general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell
  • answer phone calls promptly and professionally
  • lead lobby experience following hospitality standards
  • assist guests and support servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, maintaining clean and welcoming environment
