Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time while performing essential job duties
- Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required for California-based positions
- Must be able to complete certification within 60 days of start date
- Willingness to adhere to company policies including drug and alcohol prohibition
- Must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage menus
- Positive attitude and genuine desire to create excellent guest experiences
- Responsible Beverage Service Certification (for California positions)
Job Duties
- Making a memorable first and last impression
- Greeting incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
- Seating guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
- Coordinating the wait and seating guests with a sense of urgency
- Having genuine conversations with guests and maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Having a general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
- Answering the phone in a prompt and professional manner and directing calls
- Assisting throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, and assisting guests
- Leading the lobby experience following Outback hospitality standards
- Committing to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during shifts
