This is a part-time position with competitive pay based on experience, ranging from $12 to $13.50 per hour. Available shifts include weekday evenings from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and weekend shifts split between morning sessions from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and evening sessions from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Weekend availability is a must due to peak business times. The Host role also involves answering phone calls, managing to-go orders when required, and performing light housekeeping duties, all contributing to a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

  • previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles an advantage

  • basic knowledge of restaurant operations and waitlist management systems

Job Duties

  • Follow the steps of service and host with mostess guidelines
  • greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
  • be able to carry on natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive
  • thank the guests when leaving and invite them to come back to see us soon
  • understand and operate the wait systems and inform guests of their wait time
  • monitor the waiting list, alert guests when tables are ready, then show them to their table
  • use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area, depending on their preference, and escort them to the assigned dining area
  • present menus
  • announce server/bartender name
  • inform the guest of current specials/promotions and who will be serving = smooth handoff
  • answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
  • may also need to fill to-go orders when needed
  • tend to special guest needs and requests
  • care for our guests by refilling beverages and performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning glasses and menus, and ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and orderly
  • protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol awareness policies
  • help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables
  • replenishing beverages when requested
  • assist with guiding guests to go pick up areas
  • perform side duties and daily and weekly cleaning tasks as directed by management
  • adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently = dress code followed
  • promptly address customer service issues and refer to management when necessary
