Job Description
Resorts World Las Vegas is a premier luxury resort and casino destination located on the Las Vegas Strip, known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and a vibrant, high-energy environment. As a flagship property in the hospitality industry, Resorts World offers world-class dining, entertainment, and luxury accommodations, establishing itself as a leading venue for both leisure and business travelers. With a focus on innovation, guest satisfaction, and a cohesive team-based culture, Resorts World emphasizes the importance of every team member’s role in delivering top-tier service standards.
The Host person role at Resorts World Las Vegas stands at the forefront of the restaurant operation, serving as the primary point of contact for guests upon their arrival and final impressions as they depart. This position is essential in setting the tone and mood for the dining experience, ensuring that each guest feels welcomed, cared for, and valued throughout their visit. Acting as the liaison between the front of house and back of house teams, the Host person plays a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication and coordination to promote successful guest service.
Working in this role means engaging actively with guests by greeting them warmly, managing reservations, promptly responding to guest needs, and overseeing the pre-seating arrangements to optimize the dining flow. Hosts maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the restaurant space and may assist with the operations of other food and beverage outlets within the property as needed. Additionally, the role requires performing opening and closing duties in alignment with shift assignments and adhering strictly to the company's policies and standards.
Candidates for this position are expected to possess excellent communication skills, a polished and professional demeanor, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Host person must handle high volume, fast-paced restaurant environments with grace and efficiency, alongside demonstrating exemplary customer service skills. Prior experience in similar roles or luxury resort settings is preferred, as is familiarity with reservation management systems like Open Table.
This full-time position demands individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating memorable guest interactions. The Host person position supports Resorts World’s core values focused on safety, security, cleanliness (EVS), and guest experience, encouraging team members to take personal ownership and be ambassadors of the brand. The role may require physical tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, walking with urgency, and lifting items up to 15 pounds, ensuring operational standards are met effectively.
Overall, the Host person at Resorts World Las Vegas is a key ambassador of the establishment, tasked with providing a seamless and welcoming experience that encourages guests to return and promotes the reputation of the resort as a leader in hospitality excellence.
