The Hostperson role at Resorts World Las Vegas is a pivotal position within the restaurant operations. As the initial point of contact and the final impression for guests, the Hostperson plays an essential role in ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience. This role requires a professional, approachable, and attentive individual who can warmly welcome guests, manage seating arrangements efficiently, and communicate effectively with both front and back of house teams. The Hostperson will oversee daily reservations, optimize seating to balance server workload, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment. In addition, this role involves answering telephone inquiries, performing opening and closing duties, and occasionally rotating across different food and beverage outlets within the resort. Attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a sense of urgency in responding to guest needs are critical attributes for success in this role.

Job Requirements
- At least six months previous experience in a similar or related field
- proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- ability to obtain Alcohol Awareness Card
- ability to obtain Food Handling Card
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of general restaurant operations
- proficient in restaurant financial management
- working knowledge of restaurant management software system(s)
- ability to effectively communicate in English
- polished appearance and demeanor
- excellent customer services skills
- ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
- ability to successfully lead and mentor a team
- ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon entering the venue
- anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
- bid farewell to all guests upon departing and extend an invitation to return to visit soon
- oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-seating assignment, when necessary
- optimize seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
- answer restaurant telephone courteously, quickly and efficiently
- perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
- monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- rotate to other Food and Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary
- ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
- obtain and maintain position-specific licensing
- use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc
- other duties as assigned
