The role on offer is for a part-time team member who will serve as a host in one of the company's distinguished venues. This position is pivotal in providing gracious hospitality by ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service from the moment they enter the venue. The host is responsible for greeting guests, guiding them to their tables as directed by the maître d’, and maintaining order and cleanliness in the entrance area, all in line with department of health and company sanitation standards. In addition, the host manages reservations, answers incoming calls, and handles guest inquiries efficiently. The position involves operational responsibilities such as managing coat checks where applicable, organizing menu books with current menus, collecting menus during service, and assisting with opening and closing duties as directed by management. Team members are expected to participate in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings. They are also encouraged to learn continuously by observing and sharing knowledge among team members, setting an example through professionalism and positive attitude.

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, typical of high-volume restaurants, nightclubs, and lounges. This role requires physical stamina as hosts will be on their feet for extended periods, able to move quickly, and occasionally lift and push up to 75 pounds. Moreover, candidates should maintain composure in environments with varying noise levels, crowds, and smoking. Shift schedules may be irregular, including evening, weekend, and holiday hours. The role demands excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside the ability to print legibly and maintain confidentiality. Teamwork, professionalism, and courteous interaction with guests, team members, and management are essential attributes.
