The Host or Hostess position at Trilogy at Vistancia’s Golf Shop and V's Taproom offers an exciting part-time opportunity, ideal for individuals who enjoy providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic dining atmosphere. This role is fundamental in creating a welcoming first impression for guests as they arrive at the restaurant. The Host or Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests energetically and courteously, coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience and server efficiency. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, this role is pivotal in maintaining the flow and atmosphere of the dining area.
Employees in this role should be well-versed in the resort’s facilities and dining options, capable of addressing guest inquiries with enthusiasm and knowledge. The position also involves managing telephone calls, taking reservations, and handling to-go orders, showcasing a balance of interpersonal and organizational skills. Hosts and Hostesses collaborate closely with food servers, assisting with clearing tables and refilling drinks when appropriate, reinforcing a team-oriented environment. Additionally, cash handling and transaction accuracy are necessary to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Beyond these duties, the role requires alertness to safety issues and guest concerns, reporting them promptly to supervisors. - current food handlers card and TIPS certification

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma equivalent preferred
- one to three months related server experience preferred
- meet state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol if applicable

Job Duties
- Greet and serve guests in an energetic and friendly fashion
- monitor the dining area and select tables for guest seating, depending on food server activity and guest comfort
- show guests to their tables
- create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent hospitality by having a working knowledge of the resort facility and dining area
- respond to guest questions about the menu and speak with enthusiasm about resort services
- answer the telephone and take reservations and to-go orders
- work as team with food servers
- assist servers with clearing plates and refilling drinks
- handle cash and card transactions
- ensure charges are accurate and return correct change to guests
- notice and report potential safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor
- perform other duties as assigned
