Job Description
Hotel del Coronado is one of the most iconic and historic resorts located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego. Established in 1888, this stunning 28-acre property is renowned as one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. Following an extensive $400 million renovation and expansion, the resort has been revitalized to blend its historic charm with modern luxury, offering guests an unforgettable experience. With over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, and 65,000 square feet of banquet space, the resort features 10 diverse food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining services. This expansive property is beloved by guests worldwide for its blend of historic elegance, contemporary amenities, and exceptional service.
Joining Hotel del Coronado as a Host/Hostess means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering unparalleled hospitality experiences. This position plays a critical role in shaping the first impressions guests have at the resort’s dining venues. As a Host/Hostess, you will greet guests warmly, manage seating arrangements, and ensure a seamless flow of dining services, all while embodying the warmth and light of hospitality that Hilton, the resort owner, is celebrated for. The role is essential in fostering a welcoming atmosphere that makes every guest's stay memorable from the moment they arrive at the dining area.
In this role, you won’t just be escorting guests to their tables; you’ll be cultivating a positive and inviting environment that reflects the resort’s commitment to exceptional customer service. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest requests promptly and professionally. Beyond seating and greeting guests, Hosts/Hostesses also support daily operations by assisting with opening and closing duties and prepping the service areas to maintain high standards throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and thrives in fast-paced environments where teamwork and accountability are key. At Hilton, core values such as integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a focus on the present moment ensure that every team member contributes to the resort’s legacy of excellence. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or advance their careers in hospitality within a world-class, award-winning workplace culture that consistently ranks among the best places to work globally. Whether you’re a seasoned hospitality professional or just beginning your journey, Hotel del Coronado encourages you to bring your unique talents to their dedicated team and help make every guest's experience magical.
