Job Duties
- Properly greet guests with warm welcome as they arrive in the restaurant
- Ask if guest is first-time or has been at Sea Island before
- Offer menu and explain the Sea Island ordering, seating and food pick-up system
- Explain pager and seating procedure to guests when on a wait
- Record pager number and number of guests in the party when on a wait
- Call ticket number when table is available
- Be familiar with the menu
- Make recommendations on popular dishes or personal favorites
- Provide extra assistance to guests with special needs such as elderly, mothers with infants, handicapped, etc
- Fill guests' drinks and circulate through the dining room pouring or getting refills for guests
- Keep host stand supplied and organized
- Inspect bathrooms regularly for cleanliness
- Keep tables and floors in the waiting area clean and free of debris
- Check identification for age verification when involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage
- Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned by manager
