We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional Host/Hostess to join our dedicated team. This role serves as the first point of contact for our guests, where you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their entire dining experience. Ideal candidates are those who excel in fast-paced, high-volume settings and take pride in delivering impeccable customer service. As a Host/Hostess, you will greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations and seating efficiently, and ensure that service flows smoothly from start to finish. This position involves using reservation management systems such as OpenTable or Seven Rooms, handling guest inquiries with exceptional phone etiquette, and attending to special requests like allergies or other preferences.

Your presence will ensure that the host stand and entrance are always maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and attractiveness, reflecting our establishment's commitment to excellence. The ability to multi-task confidently, work well under pressure, and maintain a positive demeanor is essential. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to every task. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is a must, as is the physical ability to stand for long periods and handle moderate lifting or movement of items up to 50 pounds.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale or high-volume restaurant
  • ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • ability to multi-task
  • professional, polished and confident presence
  • ability to manage OpenTable or similar reservation systems (a plus)
  • works well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • proactive, detail-oriented and reliable work ethic
  • available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • must be able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs as needed

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or Seven Rooms, anticipating guest needs such as allergies or special requests
  • escort guests to their tables with grace, present menus, and introduce them to their server
  • maintain the pristine appearance of the host stand and entrance area at all times
  • handle phone calls with excellent etiquette, managing inquiries and reservations
