Job Description
Azzurro is an upscale dining restaurant located in The Woodlands, offering Italian coastal-inspired cuisine in an elegant lakeside setting overlooking Lake Woodlands. The restaurant is part of a family-owned and operated group established by local restaurateur Enrique Orioli, known for delivering exceptional culinary experiences in the region. Azzurro has cemented itself as a destination for sophisticated dining, combining authentic Italian flavors with a refined atmosphere that caters to guests seeking not only delicious food but also an inviting, picturesque environment. The family-run nature of the establishment ensures a commitment to quality, personalized service, and community values that reflect in every aspect of the dining experience.
The role available at Azzurro is centered on providing warm, friendly, and efficient service that contributes to an exceptional overall dining experience for guests. This position involves welcoming and greeting guests upon arrival, managing guest seating efficiently to suit their preferences and needs, and maintaining active communication between guests, kitchen staff, management, and serving staff. The position is full-time or part-time and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $9.00 to $14.00, with additional tip income, paid on a bi-weekly or twice-monthly basis. No formal education is required, emphasizing the value Azzurro places on hospitality experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
In this role, the employee acts as the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a positive first impression by warmly greeting and seating guests, handling reservations, and providing menus along with information about the servers. The job also includes managing guest wait times when the restaurant is busy, ensuring smooth operation through coordinating table assignments fairly among servers, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining and service areas. Employees are expected to be attentive to guest satisfaction, able to respond to questions or complaints diplomatically, and to maintain a collaborative approach with colleagues to support the overall guest experience.
Additionally, the role requires interaction with technology such as OpenTable or GuestCenter to monitor and record reservations and guest information effectively. Employees must hold a valid Food Handler license, underlining the commitment to hygiene and food safety standards at Azzurro. The opportunity to work here offers not just a job but a chance to be part of a celebrated restaurant group that values tradition, community engagement, and culinary excellence.
Working on-site at Azzurro means being part of a vibrant, upscale environment where hospitality is valued, and every team member contributes to the smooth running of the restaurant. Meetings and suggestion opportunities encourage staff to participate actively in improving operations and guest satisfaction. Whether as a full-time team member or part-time support, this position provides valuable experience in luxury dining service and is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest relations.
