In May 2025, Azzurro expanded its Hughes Landing location, adding a longer bar and 20 additional tables to accommodate more guests.

Family Culinary Legacy
The Orioli family's culinary legacy spans three generations, with recipes passed down from Nonna Elda, the beloved matriarch born in Ravenna, Italy. Nonna Elda has shared her cherished family recipes with patrons since the 1970s, beginning in Venezuela.
In September 2000, the family brought their culinary legacy to Houston, Texas, opening Via Emilia Italian Restaurant along FM 1960. The restaurant flourished for 11 years as a local favorite.
In 2011, recognizing The Woodlands as a growing and vibrant community, the family relocated the restaurant. This timely move allowed Via Emilia to continue its tradition of authentic Italian dining in a dynamic new setting, closing the original Houston location gracefully.
