As a Host at our restaurant, you will be the first friendly face our guests encounter, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. Your warm demeanor and exceptional customer service skills will help ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued. This role is essential in managing the efficient flow of guests into the dining area, ensuring they are seated promptly and comfortably. Beyond greeting and seating guests, you will assist with maintaining an organized and clean dining environment, handle reservations and inquiries, and support servers as needed. The Host position requires the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to create a positive experience for every visitor. Job Requirements

  • Proficient in reading and writing
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during shifts
  • Capable of lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Full mobility of hands and arms to perform repetitive tasks such as transporting plates, glasses, and baskets between the kitchen and dining room

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a smile and a friendly attitude upon arrival
  • Efficiently manage the seating chart to accommodate guests and optimize table turnover
  • Answer phone calls to take reservations or respond to inquiries politely and accurately
  • Provide guests with menus and notify servers of their arrival
  • Monitor the waiting list and inform guests when tables become available
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and lobby area
  • Assist with side duties such as refilling condiments, restocking menus, and helping servers as needed
