Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role
- Proficiency with reservation software such as Open Table preferred
- Ability to multitask and manage a busy dining environment
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Must be punctual and maintain regular attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience
- Previous experience using reservation systems like Open Table preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work well as a team player
- Ability to handle guest concerns and complaints in a friendly and positive manner
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
- Ability to manage reservations and seating assignments
Job Duties
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their table
- Monitor table turnover and service flow
- Oversee service sequence and service standard delivery including opening and closing procedures
- Take reservations and monitor reservations activity
- Arrange and assign tables accordingly
- Communicate with culinary and server staff on out-of-stock items
- Oversee environmental standards such as music, lighting, temperature, and signage
- Support server and culinary staff members to optimize guest experience
- Communicate staff needs, efficiencies, service and behavioral issues to management
- Read, maintain and make daily entries in the log book
- Maintain proper set-up of dining room
- Receive records and make arrangements for reservations and special functions
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
