This specific role of Host/Hostess is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of customer service HMSHost is known for. The Host/Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests as they enter the restaurant, ensuring a welcoming and seamless seating experience. Beyond greeting guests and managing seating charts, the Host/Hostess supports a variety of operational tasks that help maintain smooth restaurant functions. The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $17.50 to $25.05. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role advantageous
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Capable of standing for long durations and performing physical tasks
  • Ability to communicate clearly with diverse groups
  • Commitment to teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment
  • Willingness to follow all company policies and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets guests with a smile and appropriate greeting following customer service standards
  • Records customer reservations or seating times accurately
  • Maintains and updates restaurant seating charts
  • Prepares and maintains dining room areas before service
  • Assists with stocking silverware for shifts
  • Seats guests and advises on menu and beverage choices
  • Oversees delivery and service of food and beverages
  • Coordinates between kitchen and floor staff to ensure quality guest experiences
  • Performs cashier and bus person duties as needed
  • Adheres to cash handling policies and maintains cash security
  • Patrols assigned station refilling beverages and removing used items
  • Supports team during downtime with silverware rolling, food order expediting, dishwashing, and cleaning table condiments
