The Host or Hostess position at Local Station is a crucial front-of-house role, responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression for every guest. This role demands a warm, composed, and professional individual who enjoys engaging with people and can efficiently manage guest flow and reservations. The host stand is the hub from which guest experiences begin, and the ability to stay organized during busy periods is essential. While prior experience in a customer-facing setting is preferred, enthusiasm, a polished demeanor, and strong communication skills are highly valued. This role involves managing waitlists and reservation systems such as Resy, seating guests in a way that supports the service flow, handling phone inquiries, and maintaining a clean and inviting entry area. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $12 to $14 based on experience, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to start or advance their hospitality careers within a supportive, community-oriented environment.
