As a Host at Oyster House, you will serve as the first point of contact for guests arriving at the restaurant. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming and organized atmosphere where customers feel valued and comfortable from the moment they walk in. You will be responsible for managing reservations and waitlists to optimize seating arrangements, greeting customers warmly, and maintaining smooth guest flow into the restaurant. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate effectively with servers and management and ensure an efficient seating process that meets customer satisfaction standards.
In addition to managing guest interactions, the Host plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area. Assistance with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the host station, is also part of the daily responsibilities.
