As a Host/Hostess, you will play a pivotal role in the operation of our restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to greet customers promptly and courteously as they enter, managing the seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and internal efficiency. You will be the first point of contact, creating a positive first impression that encourages repeat visits. Important aspects of the role include managing reservations using an electronic reservation system, maintaining an organized waitlist, and assisting customers with inquiries or special requests. Additionally, you will help ensure that the front desk and waiting area remain clean and well stocked, including takeout menus, retail items, and gift cards. Your contribution will extend to assisting waitstaff by providing water to customers when needed and ensuring that paper products in the restrooms are replenished. This role requires strong multitasking skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible shifts, often standing for extended periods. Job Duties

  • Answer the phone and input customers orders into the computer
  • Add customers and maintain the waitlist
  • Greet all customers as they enter the restaurant
  • Seat customers according to the established plan that ensures all waitstaff gets filled tables
  • Keep front desk and waiting area clean
  • Ensure takeout menus, retail items, and gift cards remain stocked
  • Refill paper products in bathrooms as needed
  • Help waitstaff by getting water for customers as needed
