The position of Host/Hostess at HMSHost is pivotal to the overall guest experience in the restaurant. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend and twist to perform job functions
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and courteous attitude under pressure

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and seat them at appropriate tables
  • Manage restaurant seating charts and update them regularly
  • Assist with setting up and maintaining dining room areas
  • Record customer reservations or seating times accurately
  • Oversee delivery and servicing of food and beverages
  • Liaise between kitchen and floor staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Perform cashier and bus person tasks as needed
  • Follow cash handling procedures and maintain security
  • Patrol assigned stations and refill beverages
  • Assist with cleaning and preparation during downtime
