Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods
Effective communication skills
Basic math skills for cash handling
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

No previous experience required but preferred
Ability to stand for long periods
Effective communication skills in the predominant guest language(s)
Ability to multitask effectively
Outgoing and confident personality
Ability to apply gentle assertiveness when necessary
Competence in handling cash drawer and making change
Skill in accurately ringing in orders and assembling to-go orders
Friendly and polite manner with guests

Job Duties

Greet guests, find out their needs, number in party and any special requests
Open the front door for guests entering or leaving when possible
Record guest names and number of people when immediate seating is limited and provide estimated wait times
Inform guests when tables become available
Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible
Seat guests based on preferences and balance customer flow in service stations
Offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name upon seating
Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness
Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed
Communicate with culinary team regarding large parties and reservations
Answer the telephone within three rings using scripted greeting
Take, place, assemble and distribute to-go orders
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
Manage cash drawer and process payments accurately
Enter orders correctly into the Aloha POS system
Confirm and read back order details to guests
Provide guests with estimated pick-up times for to-go orders
Ensure completeness of take-out orders with napkins, utensils, and condiments
Follow bar cash-out procedures at the end of shift and submit drawer report to manager
