We are currently seeking a professional and charismatic Host for the iconic Redwood Room, a historic lounge known for its sophisticated and high-level cocktail environment. As the face of this distinguished lounge, you will be the first point of contact for guests, managing the flow of the room and greeting visitors with genuine warmth and professionalism. This role requires a perfect balance between handling high-volume efficiency and exuding the refined grace necessary for an upscale lounge setting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the seating chart and waitlist to maximize lounge capacity while ensuring a smooth, enjoyable guest experience. You will coordinate fluently with servers, bartenders, and management to maintain seamless floor operations and respond promptly to guest needs.

In addition, you will act as an ambassador for the Redwood Room's rich history, maintaining a thorough knowledge of its legacy and menu offerings to informally educate and engage guests. Upholding the lounge's polished atmosphere is paramount, with a focus on keeping the entryway and host station pristine and well-organized throughout your shift. Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional verbal communication skills, a polished demeanor, and the adaptability to stay calm and organized under pressure during busy times. While previous hosting experience in a high-volume, upscale lounge or fine-dining environment is preferred, it is not strictly required. Familiarity with reservation platforms is beneficial, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
