As a well-established player in the casual dining space, Miller's Ale House prides itself on creating a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy a great dining experience from the moment they walk through the door. With locations nationwide, the company emphasizes a fun, fast-paced work culture that encourages open communication and career advancement opportunities for its team members. Employees at Miller's Ale House are offered a range of benefits, including health coverage and dining privileges, reinforcing the company's commitment to their well-being and professional growth.
The role of Host or Hostess at Miller's Ale House is crucial as you are typically the first point of contact for guests arriving at the restaurant. This position entails greeting guests with warmth and enthusiasm, managing seating arrangements to optimize the balance across servers, and ensuring a smooth flow of the front of house. Hosts and Hostesses set the tone for the guest's dining experience by delivering prompt, courteous attention right at the entrance. This includes managing guest placement, providing wait time information, and coordinating with other team members to handle guest requests effectively. Additionally, as part of the duties, the host supports the service team by assisting in bussing tables, sanitizing, and resetting stations when needed.
Success in this role requires a genuine hospitality spirit combined with integrity and a relentless drive for excellence. The company values employees who are not only friendly and energetic but also maintain professionalism by adhering strictly to company policies, especially regarding punctuality and time management. Safety and sanitation standards are a key focus, where hosts must maintain clean workspaces and follow all hygiene protocols.
Working at Miller's Ale House means being part of a team-focused environment where collaboration is key. The host collaborates closely with both the service team and management, ensuring all operational areas work cohesively for outstanding guest experiences. The role also demands strong communication skills and multitasking abilities to manage a dynamic setting successfully. Physical demands are part of this job, including standing for long periods, lifting light to moderate weights, and handling fast-paced interactions with composure.
This position typically requires you to be at least 18 years old, and the ability to operate the restaurant's seating software is beneficial. By joining Miller's Ale House as a host or hostess, you commit to a role full of interaction, fun, and opportunities to grow within the hospitality industry. The company provides a supportive work environment accentuated by health benefits, dining discounts, and transparent communication channels, making it an excellent place for both new and experienced hospitality professionals to thrive.
