Huey's is a locally owned and operated restaurant that has been a cornerstone of the Memphis community for over 50 years. The MOD is tasked with warm greetings, accurate communication with guests regarding wait times, and escorting customers to available seating in dining and bar areas. In addition to front-of-house duties, the MOD takes on critical operational responsibilities such as bussing tables, maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, filling ice bins, and ensuring food quality control. The dynamic nature of this role means that during slower periods, the MOD supports servers by running food and assisting with other tasks as needed. An additional key responsibility includes managing to-go orders, which involves answering takeout calls, ensuring order accuracy, and packaging orders properly with all necessary accompaniments like sauces, napkins, and utensils. The MOD also administers COVID-19 protocols when applicable, ensuring a safe dining environment for both staff and guests.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to follow health and safety protocols
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school student or graduate
- Ability to stand, walk, run, squat, or bend for the shift up to 6 hours
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Use the computer program to enter orders
- Good judgment
Job Duties
- Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
- Guiding them to their table
- Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
- Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
- Assist servers and bartenders during downtime with bussing tables and running food
- Administer COVID-19 protocols when applicable
- Manage takeout orders including answering phones, ensuring order completeness, packaging with utensils and napkins
