Job Duties
- Check with Manager-on-Duty for any floor changes
- Check host stand for adequate supplies
- Ensure floor plans are current and provide updates to servers
- Greet guests warmly and acknowledge them promptly
- Lead guests to their tables with a smile and maintain proximity
- Present clean menus with the cocktail side facing the guest
- Inform guests of their server and recommend signature drinks
- Ensure no guests are seated at dirty tables
- Pay special attention to children, babies, and guests with disabilities
- Use proper seating rotation
- Utilize Manager-on-Duty if any service issues arise
- Maintain two-host staffing, one greeting and one seating
- Collect menus and silverware throughout the restaurant
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Write names on waiting lists and accurately quote wait times
- Observe and manage table status
- Answer telephones and menu questions
- Ensure positive guest interactions when entering and leaving
- Fill to-go orders if applicable
- Maintain restrooms during shift
- Perform additional duties as assigned
