  • proficient in the use of Aloha Point-of-sale (POS) terminals
  • excellent critical thinking and time management skills
  • must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, sushi bar and dining room personnel
  • be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed
  • works hard to resolve any complaints regarding food or service
  • ability to stand/walk and stay focused and alert for extended periods of time
  • must have the physical abilities to carry out the functions of the job descriptions
  • flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • clean, restaurant industry specific non-slip shoes
  • socks must be worn

Job Duties

  • Welcoming and escorting guests to tables and providing menus
  • managing the wait list
  • answering telephone and directing calls
  • placing walk-in/call-in take out orders
  • preparing beverages and expediting food orders if necessary
  • collecting payment from customers
  • addressing complaints of patrons or communicating guest's concerns to the manager as appropriate
  • ensuring that take-out orders are complete and food looks appealing before being delivered to a guest
  • ensuring that all food is delivered to guest in a timely manner
  • maintaining knowledge of all table numbers
  • performing opening, running, and closing duties
  • other duties as requested by manager
