This position requires a friendly and energetic individual who enjoys interacting with people and is committed to delivering exceptional service to every guest. Hosts and Hostesses are the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating them while ensuring a smooth and welcoming arrival experience. They must be knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials, and restaurant features to answer guest inquiries confidently and with enthusiasm. This role also involves managing the waitlist during busy periods, providing accurate wait times, and maintaining an organized floor plan to keep track of table status (clean, dirty, occupied). Additionally, they perform tasks such as cleaning and stocking menus, answering phone calls, filling to-go orders, rolling silverware, and setting up for the following day. The position demands the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Physical stamina is essential due to the requirements of standing and walking for long hours and occasionally lifting items up to 40 pounds. Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift
- Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours including some holidays and most weekends
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Food handler's card is required according to local and state regulations
- Prior experience in customer service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

Job Duties
- Identify & deliver exceptional service by greeting and serving guests
- Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, inform them of daily specials
- Check with customers to ensure enjoyment of meals and address any issues
- Treat all guests to ensure complete satisfaction and strive to exceed expectations
- Manage waitlist by taking guest information and providing accurate wait times
- Run the floor plan board by observing table status and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables
- Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area
- Answer phone calls and respond to questions about the menu and restaurant
- Interact with guests upon arrival and departure to ensure a positive experience
- Fill to-go orders, roll silverware, and prepare the area for the next day
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand, entrance area, and restrooms continuously throughout the shift.
