Job Description

We are currently seeking a Host or Hostess to join our dynamic team. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our restaurant as it is the first point of contact for our guests. The role involves greeting and seating guests promptly, cheerfully, and courteously, which helps set the tone for the entire dining experience. Additionally, the Host or Hostess will be responsible for managing phone calls, taking and entering To Go orders, and ensuring these orders are packaged correctly and payments are collected accurately. The position also includes assisting service staff by filling beverage orders, clearing and setting tables, and resolving guest complaints in a professional and timely manner. Communicating effectively with guests and team members is critical to this role, as is maintaining mobility to move efficiently throughout the work area. Furthermore, compliance with health and safety regulations pertaining to food handling is mandatory. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong attention to detail. Job Requirements

  • Ability to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
  • sufficient mobility to move and operate in the work area
  • knowledge of and compliance with state county or municipal food handling regulations
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • availability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests promptly cheerfully and courteously
  • answer phones and take To Go orders
  • enter and package To Go orders accurately
  • collect payment from guests
  • fill beverage orders as needed
  • assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
  • resolve guest complaints and notify manager of any complaints received
