Additionally, the Host or Hostess engages with guests during their visit to ensure satisfaction with the food and service, promptly addresses any complaints, and fosters a welcoming environment by adapting the lighting, music volume, and cleanliness of the front of house. This position may also involve managing to-go orders, answering phone calls, and taking reservations, thus requiring multitasking capabilities and a clear, professional communication style. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, ensuring active participation in maintaining the restaurant’s upkeep.
