Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Capacity to stand for extended periods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid California food handlers card
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Job Qualifications
- No prior restaurant experience is required
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods up to 6 hours
- Fun, upbeat personality, acting with kindness and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills in the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Current, valid California food handlers card
Job Duties
- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival
- Greet guests entering the restaurant whenever possible
- Manage and utilize the reservation system accurately to organize seating arrangements and waitlists, notifying guests of wait-times, and when tables are ready
- Notify guests when tables become available, and thank them for waiting
- Escort guests to their tables with menus and silverware wraps
- Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible
- Seat guests in a way that balances customer flow in service sections
- Upon seating, inform guests of their server’s name
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Wipe down and clean menus as they are returned to the host stand
- Handle to-go orders efficiently
- Answer inquiries about large parties and catering services
- Keep the host area, floors, and door glass clean and presentable
- Must be flexible and willing to assist in any front-of-house positions, including performing bathroom checks and cleaning, as needed
