The available position is for a part-time Host/Hostess at Porsche Los Angeles located at 19800 South Main Street, Carson, California. This role is essential in creating welcoming and enjoyable dining experiences for guests. Working as a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for diners, responsible for greeting guests warmly and seating them efficiently based on availability and their preferences. Your role does not only end at greeting guests. You will actively contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant dining environment, supporting both guests and your coworkers.

This position requires flexibility as the schedule varies and availability is needed for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. Prior experience as a host or in managing reservations for at least two years is preferred, aligning with the skill set needed for the role. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the value placed on experienced and dedicated team members.

The role also involves supervising food service associates in the dining area, ensuring that customer service, food handling, and sanitation standards are met. As a Host/Hostess, you may also assist with food service tasks including occasional bussing, and you must maintain safe food handling practices. The position requires strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and an interest in people. Maintaining confidentiality regarding personal or medical information is crucial.

Safety is a priority; the role includes knowledge and ability to act in emergency situations, ensuring guests are evacuated safely if necessary. Equipment operation, including fire extinguishers and beverage machines, is sometimes required. Collaboration with other department staff during special events or functions is also part of the job. Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greets and directs guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements
