Job Description

The League Kitchen & Tavern is a distinguished Austin-based restaurant owned and operated by Tc4 & Co Hospitality, a company that prides itself on "Hard Work, High Standards, and Notable Hospitality." Since its founding in 2011 by partners Tony Ciola and Creed Ford IV, Tc4 has successfully established multiple award-winning dining concepts throughout the Austin area, including Tony C's Beer Garden, Mighty Fine Burgers, and Tony C's New York Style Pizza. The League Kitchen & Tavern reflects the spirit and charm of the 1920s Prohibition era, featuring a vintage, speakeasy-style ambiance enhanced by historic photographs and murals that celebrate the era and the founders' family histories. Guests can enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu that blends traditional and modern American cuisine, enriched by chef-inspired features and weekly specials. Alongside the innovative culinary offerings, the tavern boasts an extensive cocktail menu, including vintage classics like the Moscow Mule served in authentic copper mugs, craft cocktails made from fresh ingredients, an assortment of fine spirits, specially selected wines, and a unique "Stache" menu highlighting the founders' favorite drinks.

The role of the Host at The League Kitchen & Tavern is integral to the establishment's commitment to exceptional hospitality. Employees in this position are the first and last point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a memorable dining experience through warm and attentive service. The Host’s primary duties include greeting guests warmly upon arrival, managing reservations, efficiently seating guests, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting with drink selections, and ensuring clear communication between guests and kitchen staff regarding any specific needs or preferences. The Host also supports the preparation and maintenance of the dining area, ensuring that tables are set with appropriate utensils, napkins, and condiments, and that cleanliness standards are met throughout the service. This position occasionally requires assistance with special events, contributing to a dynamic and engaging work environment.

This hourly role offers competitive pay up to $18.00 per hour and seeks individuals who are passionate about delivering hospitality that aligns with Tc4 & Co's high standards. While experience in the hospitality industry is appreciated, it is not required, as the company provides comprehensive training to all team members. Additionally, candidates must hold certifications such as TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) and Food Handlers to comply with regulatory standards. Working at The League Kitchen & Tavern not only provides an opportunity to be part of an established and reputable hospitality group but also offers significant growth potential and career advancement. Flexible working hours, a supportive and vibrant work culture, and various insurance options further enhance the employment package, making this an attractive opportunity for those eager to build a rewarding career in the restaurant industry.
